Noon Train to Haydenville (14-mile round trip)
Take a leisurely trip on a passenger train dating back to the 1920s. Hear about Hocking Valley history as you pass the remains of industries, canal locks and other historic landmarks. Visit Robbins Crossing, an 1840s pioneer log village. (Please note: Robbins Crossing is only open from Memorial Day weekend through the end of October.)
Train dates: Every Saturday and Sunday from May 23 until November 1, 2009. This train ride is scheduled to depart at noon and lasts approximately 1 3/4 hours including a 30-minute stop at Robbins Crossing. Advance reservations are highly recommended for October trains.
Cost: Adult $12; Senior (60+) $10; Child (3-12) $9 (Under 3 yrs. old ride free but must sit on guardian's lap.)
TICKETS PURCHASED ONLINE WILL BE HELD AT THE DEPOT. Tickets MUST be picked 30 minutes prior to the departure time of the train. Please allow extra time to pick up your tickets, especially in October. Any ticket order canceled less than 48 hours in advance will be charged a $10 fee.
Tickets may also be purchased in the depot. The depot opens two hours prior to departure of the first train.
Tickets purchased online may be upgraded at the depot to first class seating, in our newly-restored luxury coach with toilet and air conditioning, by paying $2 more per person.
A longer train ride to Logan departs at 2:30pm.
