Accessibility for People with Handicaps

Thanks to efforts by HVSR member Ed Faris, the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway has a mobile wheelchair lift which allows access to our coaches. Although the parking lots are mostly gravel, the area around the depot is paved and you may drop off passengers at the walkway across the tracks in front of the depot. The restrooms in the depot are not wheelchair accessible.

Please call ahead so we can hold space for your wheelchair. Only certain cars on the train are wheelchair accessible.

A wheelchair is available in the depot to transport anyone who is unable to walk the length of the train when boarding or disembarking.

At this time we are unable to provide access to Robbins Crossing for our visitors with wheelchairs. However, you are welcome to stay on board the train during the stop.
