ACCESSIBILITY FOR PEOPLE WITH HANDICAPS
Thanks to efforts by HVSR member Ed Faris, the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway has a mobile wheelchair lift (pictured below) which allows access to three of our coaches. Although the parking lots are mostly gravel, the area around the depot is paved and you may drop off passengers at the walkway across the tracks in front of the depot. The restrooms in the depot are not wheelchair accessible.
Please call ahead so we can hold space for your wheelchair. Only certain cars on the train are wheelchair accessible.
Please arrive at the depot no later than 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time to allow for the loading of wheelchairs onto the train.
A wheelchair is available in the depot to transport anyone who is unable to walk the length of the train when boarding or disembarking.
